Dave Fosnacht, a native of Columbia, South Carolina, was named the assistant coach for Citadel men’s tennis in November of 2017.
Fosnacht played his college tennis at USC Lancaster and later was also a member of the University of South Carolina’s program for a year. At USC Lancaster, Fosnacht finished in the top 25 in the country in singles and doubles.
Upon graduation, he worked in high performance junior development and also worked in “Tournament Tough Camps” conducted by Carlos and Josh Goffi. He was also Director of Tennis at the prestigious Topspin Country Club and later trained high performance players in Nosara, Costa Rica. He also worked with top players at the Creekside Country Club in Charleston.
About Coach Fosnacht, Citadel head tennis coach Kriese says, “We are very fortunate to have Dave on our staff. He has a great work ethic and he is a man of excellent character with instincts and insights that are rare in young coaches. He is still an excellent player and has a knack of getting the most out of each and every player that he works with. I am so very happy to have him here at The Citadel.”
