Biography
REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2013-14): Graduated in the spring of 2014 … saw action in 14 games, averaging 4.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per outing … opened the season at VMI by knocking down 2-of-4 from beyond the arc and snagged five rebounds to mark the fifth time in his career with multiple 3-pointers … tied his career-high in field goals made (five) during a 12-point outing against Presbyterian. He finished 5-of-15 from the floor, including 2-of-7 from 3-point range, in The Citadel’s 82-68 victory over the Blue Hose … contributed eight of the 25 points off the bench as the Dogs completed an 83-53 win over North Greenville … capped off his season-high in points (13) by hitting 5-of-6 from the floor against Montreat and in the process tied his career-high in 3-pointers (three) after finishing a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2012-13): Played 28 games in reserve for the Bulldogs during the season … scored eight points, hitting 3-of-5 from the floor in 21 minutes of action against VMI, in his first collegiate game … knocked down all six free throw attempts in an eight-point outing against Radford … established his season-high in points (16) following a 4-for-8 shooting performance which included two 3-pointers at Gardner-Webb … was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line from the charity stripe against the Runnin’ Bulldogs … amassed the most points(49) of any reserve over the final 10 games of the season …finished the final two months of the season by hitting 18-of-29(.621) from the floor and 9-of-17 (.529) from beyond the arc… among his best performances in Southern Conference play included an 11-point showing against Furman to close out February which was quickly followed by a 13-point outing at Wofford where he converted 4-of-6 (.667) from the floor and 2-of-3 (.667) from3-point range.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, Ga., Setzekorn spent the 2010-11 season improving his basketball skills at The Hun School (Princeton, N.J.) … enjoyed a three-year varsity career under coach Ricco Zachary at Riverside Military Academy, which left him with a 46-20 (.696) career record …Riverside Military Academy reached the Georgia State Basketball Playoffs in all three seasons, including an appearance in the 2009 Final Four … finished with 709 points (16.1 ppg) and 374rebounds (6.4 rpg), while connecting on 57 percent of field goal attempts at Riverside Military Academy … instrumental in leading The Hun School to victories in five of their last seven games, including three straight in the MAPL (Mid-Atlantic Prep League) Tournament … under coach Johnathan Stone, the Raiders capped off a 12-14 season with a trip to the NJISAA (New Jersey Independent School Athletic Association) Tournament …Setzekorn was one of members from The Hun School’s 2010-11squad to make NCAA Division I commitments along with Dylan Sherwood(UNC Wilmington), Will Wise (Maryland-Baltimore County) and Grant Fiorentinos (Tulane).
PERSONAL: Full name is Dylen Paul Setzekorn … son of Michelle and Ken Setzekorn … born March 15, 1992 … oldest of three children (Laiken, Cason and Rylan) … father played football at Clemson (1983-87) winning consecutive bowl games (1986 Gator Bowl, vs. Stanford; 1987 Citrus Bowl, vs. Penn State) …considered Army, Penn, Pepperdine, Santa Clara and Savannah State before making a commitment to attend The Citadel … majoring in political science.
