JUNIOR (2020): Tied for second on the team with seven singles wins, including five in the spring semester … Was also a part of seven doubles wins, six in the spring semesters, and all with freshman Zvonko Bencedic … Posted all five of his spring singes wins at No. 1, and all six of his spring doubles wins also were at the No. 1 spot … Won two of his three singles matches in the fall, including a 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Jacksonville State’s Thomas Norwood, and a 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Presbyterian’s Oscar Alvarez … Ended the season winning three of his last four singles matches, all in straight sets … In doubles action, joined forces with Bencedic to win their first match together, 6-4 over Jacksonville State in the fall … He and Bencedic defeated No. 18 Tennessee’s Andrew Rogers and Pat Harper, 6-3 on Jan. 20 … Posted three straight doubles wins from Feb. 2 – 7 … Won two of his last three doubles matchups.
SOPHOMORE (2019): Tied for tops on the team with 15 singles wins, including a team-best 14 at No. 5 singles … Led the team with four wins in SoCon play … Played in 29 singles matches … Helped win eight of the 29 doubles matches he appeared in with all eight wins coming at No. 1 doubles … Won four straight singles matches from Feb. 1 – Feb. 3, all in straight sets … Won three straight matches from March 10 – March 17, including two in straight sets … … Won back-to-back matches eight times … 13 of his 15 singles match wins came in straight sets … In his last 11 completed singles matches, went 8-3.
FRESHMAN (2018): As a true freshman, saw action in 34 singles matches and 37 doubles matches … Posted 17 wins in singles action and 12 in doubles … Went 4-2 in Southern Conference singles matchups … Started his collegiate career off by winning his first three singles matchups in straight sets over Florida A&M’s Jermaine LeGrand and Rodney Sturgis … Won six singles matches in a row from January 27 to Feb. 23 and eight of nine through March 3 … Started the streak off by besting Eastern Washington’s Martin Bats 6-4, 6-2 (1/27) and wrapped up the nine games with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-5 win over East Carolina’s Freddie McGeehan (3/3) … Picked up his first Southern Conference singles win 7-5, 6-3 over Furman’s Trevor Croyder (2/17) … In his very next singles match, bested Chattanooga’s Luke Plaisted 6-1, 7-5 (2/23) … Won back-to-back singles matches with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over Samford’s Max Rebol (3/14) and a 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 win over Eastern Florida State’s Alwyn Mushonga (3/17) … Picked up a 5-7, 7-5, 10-4 win over ETSU’s Tasei Miyamoto (4/14) … Joined forces with Jack Pyritz for an 8-2 win over Florida A&M’s Rodney Sturgis and Karlyn Small in the opening weekend of competition … Won back-to-back doubles matches with Willem van Zyl on February 2 over doubles tandems from Benedict and Coker … Accomplished the same feat with Matthew Henson on February 3 against tandems from USC Sumter and Belmont Abbey … Bested Chattanooga’s Simon Bustamante and Niklas Gerdes (2/23) alongside Noah Nawabi at No. 1 doubles by a score of 6-2 for first SoCon doubles win … Also defeated ETSU’s Juan Lugo and Tasei Miyamoto (4/14) with Nawabi by a score of 6-4 at No. 1 doubles.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate of Mauldin High School, Stewart earned one varsity letter while playing tennis … As a junior, named to the All-Region and All-Upstate teams after earning All-Region accolades as a sophomore.
