- Son of Bill and Beth Csipkay, dad played collegiate tennis at NC State and was a member of the first Wolfpack team to be ACC Champions.
- Dad went on to play professionally with his brother Tom who played collegiately at Indiana State.
- Mom was an All-American tennis player at Furman.
