INDOOR: Ran 800-meter race in a time of 2:47.50 at the JDL College Team Challenge (2/13/20).

JUNIOR (2019)
INDOOR: Competed in four indoor events … Started her indoor season off with a personal-record time of 12:38.73 in the 3,000-meter race at the Gamecock Inaugural (Jan. 18-19), and ran the mile in a time of 6:14.90 … Ran the 800-meter race in a time of 2:45.22 and posted a time of 6:10.07 in the mile at the VMI Team Challenge (Jan. 26) … At the JDL College Team Challenge (Feb. 7), ran the 800m in a time of 2:43.56 … Closed out the indoor campaign with a 600-meter time of 1:49.51.

OUTDOOR: Ran three outdoor meets, competing exclusively in the 1,500-meter race … At the Buccaneer Invitational (March 23), turned in a time of 5:54.46 … Shaved close to 12 seconds off her time with at the Gamecock Invitational, posting a time of 5:43.97 … Ended the outdoor season with another season best at the USC Open, posting a time of 5:38.94.

SOPHOMORE (2018): Did not compete

FRESHMAN (2017)
INDOOR: Ran in three indoor meets … At the VMI vs. Citadel meet (Jan. 28), ran the 800-meter run in a time of 2:42.33, finishing seventh … Ran the mile in a time of 5:47.75 at the JDL College Team Challenge (Feb. 9).

OUTDOOR: Ran the 1,500-meter race at the Weems Baskin Invitational, turning in a time of 5:23.16.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-time Michigan State Championships qualifier in cross country at Black River High School … Ran for assistant coach Michael Sharnas, a 1992 graduate of The Citadel … Posted a personal-best time of 20:08.6 in the 5K … Also competed for the indoor and outdoor track and field teams in high school … Clocked an 11:59.45 in the 3,200-meter event and a 5:42.19 in the 1600-meter run.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Alejandro Sanchez-Salazar and Amida Martinez-Palos … Was born in Mexico City … Major is criminal justice.
