Collin Smith joined The Citadel athletic communications department as a graduate assistant in 2021. He was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in 2022 before securing the role as Director of Athletic Communications in August 2025.

He serves as the primary media contact for The Citadel's baseball, volleyball, rifle and cross country teams.
 
A native of Charleston, S.C., Smith graduated from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., with a bachelor’s degree in communications in 2020. As an undergraduate, he competed for the Saint Anselm Hawks baseball program. He earned his master’s degree from The Citadel in 2022 in Sports Management.
