Jake Alvarez joined The Citadel men’s basketball staff as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2026.
Alvarez joins the Bulldogs after spending four years with the University of South Carolina men’s basketball program, including his final three years as the head student manager. In that role, he helped oversee the program’s student managers while assisting with daily practices, player development, equipment, recruiting visits, game-day operations, and team travel. He also worked closely with the coaching staff on a variety of basketball and operational responsibilities.
Alvarez has additional basketball experience working with Nike EYBL Peach Jam, where he assisted with event operations during the summer of 2025.
A native of South Carolina, Alvarez graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2026 with a degree in Sport and Entertainment Management. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Sport Management at The Citadel.
