James Bresette has served as the Assistant Director for Athletic Development at The Citadel Foundation since October 2024.
He works with VP and Senior Director of Athletic Development to implement a comprehensive athletics development plan. Bresette also works with The Citadel Brigadier Foundation and the Athletic Department to execute strategic objectives and coordinates with coaching staffs from 14 varsity athletic programs on a sport-specific basis.

Bresette joined The Citadel Foundation in September of 2021 as the Assistant Director for Annual Giving. He led young alumni initiatives, directed the Young Alumni Council, and organized events tailored to young alumni interests. Bresette also developed fundraising strategies for 10th reunions, leading the largest fundraising effort that raised over $230,000.

Bresette began his career in development at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in Washington, D.C., where he coordinated student and talent management programs.
Bresette graduated from The Citadel as a member of the Class of 2017.
