Melanie Baker joined The Citadel staff in April 2017 as the Marketing Coordinator for the Athletic Department. In March of 2019, she transitioned over to The Citadel Brigadier Foundation as the Executive Assistant and Development/Marketing Coordinator. In 2021, Baker was elevated to the Director of Marketing & Communications for TCBF.
Prior to coming to The Citadel, Baker worked for the University of Maryland Athletics as a New Business Sales Account Executive and as a Special Events Coordinator. Baker coordinated and managed special events and appointments with clients for the University of Maryland Athletics.
Baker graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2016 with a degree in Hospitality Management. Baker, originally from Baltimore, Md., now resides in Tampa, Fla.
