Michelle Lomonaco has been a member of the The Citadel Sports Medicine staff since 2003 and joined the MUSC Health Sports Medicine in 2023 as the Head Athletic Trainer for The Citadel.
A native of Sauquoit, N.Y., Lomonaco earned her Bachelor's Degree from Appalachian State University in 2003 in Athletic Training and a Minor in Exercise Science. She later earned her Master's Degree in Health, Exercise and Sport Science from The Citadel Graduate College in 2005.
At The Citadel, Michelle is functioning as the Rehabilitation Coordinator for all sports. Lomonaco is currently serving as the Co-Chair Program Coordinator for the South Carolina Athletic Trainer’s Association Symposium. In addition, she is also serving as a Climate Fellow at The Citadel’s Center for Climate Change.
