Bulldog Women Place 12th, Men 14th at Navy?s Salty Seadog Invitational

Annapolis, Md. Katheryn Gatewood led the women's team with a 6k time of 25:35 while Brendan Kight led the men for the second straight week with an 8k time of 27:28 as The Citadel cross country teams competed at the Salty Seadog Invitational hosted by the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis Saturday morning. The women's team finished 12th while the men's team placed 14th.
Gatewood led the women last week at the 5k Eye Opener meet in Spartanburg and paced the Bulldogs for the second consecutive week. Natalie Wolin followed Gatewood with a time of 26:09.
On the men's side, Kight continued to set the pace for the men's team while Alex Anderson stepped up to finish second with a time of 28:41. Zach Johnson finished third, running 28:49.
The Bulldogs take a week off before hosting the 28th Annual Citadel Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27 at James Island County Park.
