Bulldogs Take on Upstate Invitational

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The men's and women's cross country teams will travel to USC Upstate on Saturday to participate in the Upstate Invitational in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The women's 5k race will take place first at 9 a.m. and will be followed by the men's 8k at 9:45 a.m. An awards ceremony will follow the day's preceding's around 10:30 a.m. The race, which is being held at Milliken Research Center, consists of 32 schools and roughly 600 runners.
The Bulldogs head into the competition after sweeping both races last weekend at the Will Wilson Citadel Invitational. Michael Lantz paced the men, finishing the 8k race in 27:18.82. Lantz has placed first among Division I opponents in every race he has competed in this season.
Grace Jenkins led the women, crossing the finish line in 20:30.90. Emani Little (21:15.57), Jessica DeWitte (21:21.00) and Bethany Reeves (21:22.08) were the next Bulldogs to finish, all within 10 seconds of each other.
