GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Citadel women's soccer team fell to SoCon foe UNC Greensboro on Sunday afternoon 5-0.

The Bulldogs (1-16, 0-7 SoCon) struggled offensively in the first half, recording only one shot compared to the Spartans' 11. UNCG would take a 2-0 lead into halftime after scoring in the 18th and 34th minutes of the game.
Kim Mora would record two saves in 45 minutes of work.

With
Abby Koger in goal for the second half, the Spartans (7-8-3, 5-2-1 SoCon) would tack on another goal in the 49th minute to make it 3-0 and then score on a header in the 63rd minute to push the lead to 4-0. UNCG would score its fifth goal of the game after Koger made a save but the ball was picked up by Kailyn Deutrich and knocked into the back of the net before the freshman goalkeeper could recover. The score would remain 5-0 to give the Spartans the win.

The Citadel had four shots in the game. Koger would finish the second half with three saves.

The Bulldogs return to Charleston for the final home stand of the season when they host Furman at 3 p.m. on Friday and Wofford at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Sunday's game against the Terriers will be Senior Day.
