CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel football team returns to Johnson Hagood Stadium for the first of two straight home games when it hosts Mercer on Saturday at 2 p.m.

• The Citadel is 4-0 in the Southern Conference for the fourth time in program history and the first time since 1979.
• The Bulldogs are one of 18 FCS teams still undefeated in conference play.
• The Citadel ranks 1st in FCS with 29 rushing touchdowns.
• The Bulldogs are tied 1st in FCS with three passing touchdowns allowed. They were the last Division I team to allow a passing touchdown, keeping their opponents out of the end zone through the air for 347 minutes, 39 seconds.
• The Citadel ranks 1st in the Southern Conference in scoring offense (37.2) and scoring defense (16.0) in conference games.
• The Bulldogs are the only Southern Conference team to win every conference game by double digits. The Citadel's average margin of victory in SoCon games is 21.3 points.
• In conference games, the Bulldogs lead the SoCon in rushing offense (365.0), pass efficiency (156.7), sacks allowed (0.50), third-down conversions (.556), third-down defense (.362), interceptions (7), turnover margin (+7) and kickoff returns (27.5).
• The Citadel's third-down conversion percentage of .533 ranks 1st in the Southern Conference and 3rd in FCS.
• The Bulldogs' average of 350.4 rushing yards per game is 1st in the Southern Conference and 2nd in FCS.
• The Citadel ranks 1st in the Southern Conference and tied for 3rd in FCS with 13 interceptions, more than four times the team's total of three from last year.
• The Bulldogs rank 1st in FCS with a defensive interception percentage of 6.47. The Citadel's 13 interceptions have come on 201 passes, an average of one for every 15.5 passes faced.
• The Citadel is tied for 2nd in the SoCon and for 5th in FCS with two interception return touchdowns, and its 211 interception return yards are 1st in the conference and 4th in the country.
• The Bulldogs' 18 turnovers forced rank 1st in the Southern Conference and tied for 5th in FCS.
• The Citadel's +106 scoring margin ranks 1st in the Southern Conference. In conference play, the Bulldogs rank 1st with a +85 scoring margin.
• In the first half, the Bulldogs are outscoring their opponents 139-67, including 56-24 in the first quarter and 83-43 in the second quarter.
• The Citadel ranks 1st in the Southern Conference in tackles for loss allowed (2.57, 1st in FCS), yards per completion (19.00, 2nd), sacks allowed (0.57, 4th), turnovers forced (18, 5th), pass efficiency defense (104.22, 14th), scoring offense (35.9, 18th) and tackles for loss (7.3, 27th).
