CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's soccer team will be on the road for the next two weeks as they continue their SoCon schedule with Western Carolina on Friday and East Tennessee State on Sunday.
 
The Bulldogs are coming off a 2-1 loss to Chattanooga on Tuesday. Mady Riegel recorded the first score of the game in the first half to give The Citadel a 1-0 lead. The Mocs scored two goals within seven minutes of one another to earn their first SoCon win of the season.   
 
The Citadel tallied 11 shots in the game and was led by Riegel who had four in the game. The goal in Tuesday's contest was the first of the season for Riegel.
 
Western Carolina comes in the contest boasting a 5-5-2, 1-2 record. The Catamounts are averaging 13.2 shots per game and a .430 shot-on-goal percentage. Kasey Cooke leads the team with nine points and four goals in 12 games played. Western Carolina is tied for first in the SoCon in goals allowed, averaging only 0.92 a game. They are also second in the conference in shutouts, posting five this season.
 
East Tennessee State holds an 8-4, 3-0 record so far in the 2015 season and will face Mercer on Friday before hosting The Citadel. The Bucs are averaging 1.92 goals per game and are ranked third in the SoCon with 23 this season. ETSU also leads the conference in shots, tallying 207. They have the fewest amount of saves in the conference with 37 compared to The Citadel's 110. The Bucs are one of only two teams in the conference who are currently undefeated in SoCon play this season. Samford is the other team with a 4-0 record in conference play.
