CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel football team returns home this week to host Charleston Southern inside Johnson Hagood Stadium at 6 p.m. on Saturday.• The Citadel's average of 398.0 rushing yards per game is the highest in Division I and leads FCS by 70 yards.
• Dating back to last season, the Bulldogs have rushed for at least 300 yards in eight consecutive games and are averaging 401.3 yards per game in that span.
• The Bulldogs defense ranks 1st in FCS in interception percentage. The Citadel's six interceptions have come against just 78 passes, an average of one interception every 13 passes.
• The Citadel ranks 1st in the Southern Conference and tied for 3rd in FCS with six interceptions, already doubling the team's interception total of three from last season.
• The Bulldogs' eight turnovers forced are tied for 1st in the Southern Conference and for 8th in FCS.
• The Citadel's +52 scoring margin ranks 3rd in the Southern Conference and is the program's highest after the first three games of a season since 2012.
• The Bulldogs are outscoring their opponents 68-24 in the second half, including 34-7 in the 4th quarter.
• The Citadel ranks 1st in the Southern Conference in tackles for loss allowed (2.33, 1st in FCS), 3rd-down conversion percentage (.605, 2nd), yards per completion (21.40, 3rd), pass efficiency defense (74.44, 2nd), pass defense (115.3, 4th), fewest penalties (3.67, 4th) and first downs allowed (42, 27th).
