CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's soccer team fell to Fordham 5-0 on Friday evening.

The Rams jumped out to an early lead in the match, scoring the first goal of the game only 30 seconds in. The next score would come just three minutes later. Fordham (3-2) was led by Jessica Widmann and Kate McDonnell who netted two goals apiece. As a team, the Rams had 21 shots in the game.

Katherine Arroyo led the Bulldogs (0-5) in shots, registering two while
Mady Riegel and
Andrea Davila each had one.
Abby Koger snagged eight saves in 81 minutes played and now has 49 saves for the season.

Tinslee Dilday and
Sam Waarum continued their streak of playing the entirety of games. The pair have been on the field for every minute of the season thus far.
Ilana Green,
Kim Maldonado and
Emilie Valenciano also played the entire 90 minutes Friday night.

"I thought six girls on the team has their best games of the season," head coach
Bob Winch said. "I was really happy with the entire team's work in the second half."

The Bulldogs will return to W.L.I. Field on Sunday when they take on Kennesaw State. Opening kick is set for 2 p.m. and admission is free. Live stats and live video will be available for Sunday's game.
