RALEIGH, N.C. – The Citadel men's tennis team dropped two matches to No. 40 North Carolina State on Monday in Raleigh, North Carolina.
 
The Bulldogs dropped the first match of the day 7-0. Michael Anzalone was the lone Bulldog to force an extra game tiebreak.
 
Despite losing the second match 7-0, The Citadel (0-4) kept things close in most of the six matches. At the No. 1 spot, Nicholas Bradley lost 6-4 in the first set and then came up just short in the second set, 7-6. Matthew Henson also came up just one game shy in the first set, falling 7-6 and 6-0 to the Wolfpack's Nick Horton. Senior Jackson Pride was the only Bulldog to win a set this weekend, taking Igor Saveljic to three sets after winning the second 7-5. Pride lost the other two 6-3.
 
The Citadel is back in action on Jan. 24th for the first SoCon match of the season at Wofford. The match is set to begin at 10 a.m. The Bulldogs will also take on their second ACC foe in as many weeks on the 24^th when they travel to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to face Wake Forest at 7:30 p.m. Results will be available at CitadelSports.com following the completion of each event.
