GREENVILLE, S.C. –The Citadel women's soccer team fell to Southern Conference opponent Furman on Sunday afternoon.

The lone goal of the first half came in the 39th minute as the Paladins (10-3-1, 4-2 SoCon) scored on a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead. In the second 45 minutes of play, Furman added two more goals to clinch a 3-0 win.

The Citadel (4-9, 1-5 SoCon) was led by sophomore
Emilie Valenciano with three shots and three shots on goal.
Katherine Arroyo and
Kaylee Franklin each tallied two shots in the contest and as a team The Citadel finished with 11 shots. Freshman
Logan Leask played the full 90 minutes in goal for the Bulldogs, notching six saves.
Tinslee Dilday,
Montana Hinson,
Sam Waarum and Valenciano also played the entirety of the game.
