CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel track and field team wrapped up competition at East Tennessee State's Buccaneer Invitational on Saturday. The Bulldogs collected several personal records over the two-day meet.

Sophomore
Derrick Freeland anchored The Citadel men's throwers by placing eighth overall out of 40 in the weight throw with a personal best heave of 16.39 meters. That moved him into third all-time in program history in the event. Freeland followed by finishing 20th in the shot put with a top throw of 13.64 meters.

Additionally, a trio of men's sprinters set personal records in the 200-meter.
Tevin Williams clocked a personal-best 22.73 to lead the pack and later narrowly missed securing another PR in the 400-meter with a 50.58. Tyler Jackson ran a PR in the 200, placing just behind Williams with a 23.01 while Josiah Johnson followed with a 23.09.

In the women's 200-meter sprint,
Ty'Rhonza Harris set a new personal best with a 27.31 and cemented the 10th-fastest time in program history in the event. Harris later clocked a 62.69 in the 400-meter.

Senior
Caillian Colquitt continued her stellar final indoor season by placing 11th out of 48 runners in the 5000-meter event. She ran an 18:47, just six seconds away from matching her personal best. Colquitt also clocked an 11:10.87 in the 3000-meter to place 17th
 out of 40.

Sophomore
Jamie Cunningham paced the Bulldog men's distance runners with a 15:53.52 in the 5000-meter event and finished 15th overall among a field of 59 competitors. Meanwhile, junior
Ross Jordan placed seventh overall in the 3000-meter competition with time of 8:54.23 and freshman
Stephan Kulick finished 19th in the 800-meter with a 1:58.92, narrowly behind his personal-best (1:58.81).

Other notable performances came in the triple jump, in which both
Byron Parmely and
Asyria Daniels set new personal records in the triple jump with respective leaps of 12.76 meters and 10.60 meters. Daniels' jump was the second-longest in program history.
