SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Citadel's Ali Ruffin was selected as the Southern Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Ruffin earns her second career SoCon Field Athlete of the Week honors. She received her first one in 2023.
 
The native of Greenville, North Carolina, delivered an impressive performance at the Weems Baskin Invitational, where she secured a first-place finish in the javelin with a throw of 145-6.
 
She is currently ranked first in the SoCon in the javelin.
 
Ruffin and the Bulldogs head to Davidson, North Carolina, to compete in the Davidson Relays on March 29.
