CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up the North Florida Spring Break Invitational on Saturday and a pair of Bulldogs broke school records. Senior
Caillian Colquitt and sophomore
Asyria Daniels each set new program-best marks to highlight an outstanding performance by the women's squad.

Colquitt clocked a personal best 18:26 in the 5,000-meter event to set a new school record and finish eighth overall. Meanwhile, Daniels competed in the triple jump and her personal-best leap of 35 feet and 9.5 inches snapped her own school record. Later on, Daniels placed seventh overall in the long jump by securing a personal best with a leap of 17 feet and 6.75 inches. That jump is now the third-longest in The Citadel's history.

In other women's field events, junior
Kaitlyn Moore tossed a personal-record in the shot put with a throw that totaled 37 feet and 4.5 inches, which puts her at seventh all-time in program history in that event.
Kameron Cass also set a personal record in the shot put with a heave of 34 feet and 6.75 inches, and that has her at eighth on the all-time list. Additionally,
Mady Reigel threw 121 feet and one inch in the javelin throw to finish sixth overall.

Following Daniels' lead, the Bulldogs put together a strong collective performance in both the triple jump and long jump competitions. Freshman
Hannah Murray set a pair of personal records, including a leap of 33 feet and three inches in the triple jump. It's now the second-longest jump in program history behind Daniels. Murray also set a personal record in the long jump, totaling 14 feet and 8.75 inches and putting her  at 10th all-time at The Citadel. Lastly, sophomore
Sabrina Necelis jumped 31 feet and 7.5 inches in the triple jump to earn a personal record and the fourth-best leap in program history.

In other women's field events,
Katherine Keller and
Summer Thompson excelled in the high jump. Keller matched her personal best performance by clearing four feet and 11 inches while Thompson cleared four feet and nine inches to set a new personal best. Keller now ranks fourth all-time at The Citadel in that event and Thompson ranks seventh.

Rounding out the women's top results was
Jessica DeWitte, who clocked an 11:51.88 in the 3000-meter steeplechase and finished fourth overall.

The men's squad was led by a pair of impressive performances from thrower
Derrick Freeland. The sophomore tossed a personal record in the hammer throw, reaching 164 feet and 10 inches with his best heave to finish second overall. That throw has him ranked third all-time at The Citadel in that event. Freeland also placed fourth in the shot put with a personal record toss of 50 feet and 1.25 inches. Additionally, sophomore
Amos Jackson grabbed a personal record in the hammer throw with a heave that totaled 138 feet and seven inches.

The Bulldogs also saw a pair of men excel in the high jump competition.
Mitchell Noel and
Jackson Nosbisch placed fifth and seventh, respectively, at the meet. Noel cleared 6 feet and 4.75 inches while Nosbisch cleared 6 feet and 2.75 inches.

On Saturday, sophomore
Griffin Miller placed second overall in the javelin throw with a personal record heave that reached 178 feet and five inches. Freshman
Charlie Hatler followed in fifth place with a throw of 156 feet and seven inches.

Pacing the Bulldogs in sprints were Josiah Johnson and
Charlie Walker. Johnson clocked a personal record in the 100-meter dash with a 10.94 and Walker secured a personal-best time of 58.11 in the 400-meter hurdles.
