Bulldogs Close Out Season at SoCon Championships on Saturday

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Citadel's men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Southern Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 28 in Spartanburg, S.C.
The women's 5,000-meter race started at 10:00 a.m., followed by the men's 8K at 10:45 a.m.
The men's team finished ninth overall, led by senior Michael Lantz who took 34th place with a time of 26 minutes, 37 seconds. Senior Jamie Cunningham was the second Bulldog to cross the finish line in 26:41.60.
Freshman Amber Opp placed 38th overall and was the first lady Bulldog to cross the finish line with a time of 19:02.70. Freshman Casey Miller finished 50th and earned a new personal best with a time of 19:21.70. The women's squad took tenth-place overall.
