CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team returns to Charleston for their first home SoCon match of the season against Chattanooga on Sunday, Jan. 21.
 
The Bulldogs (1-6, 0-1 SoCon) return to McAlister Field House after a two-month stretch of away matches. Sophomore Douglas Gudenburr will look to continue to earn points for the Bulldogs, following his first pin of the season in 57-seconds against Northern Illinois' Anthony Rubino on Jan. 13. Senior Ty Buckiso also earned points for the Bulldogs with a 10-2 major decision over NIU's Nolan Baker.
 
Sophomore Michael McAleavey will aim to have another successful match after beating SIU-Edwardsville's Tommy Helton at 285 pounds with a 9-4 decision.
 
The Bulldogs will face the Chattanooga Mocs (5-6, 3-0 SoCon), who are recently coming off a 29-15 win over SIU-E on Jan. 19. The match will be held at 2:00 p.m. in McAlister Field House and will be carried on the SoCon Digital Network.
