CHARLESTON, S.C. – It had been since the 2014 season that The Citadel women's soccer team had won multiple Southern Conference games in a season. It had also been since the 2011 season that the Bulldogs had won two SoCon games at home. To top it all off, The Citadel had never beaten ETSU in women's soccer in nine previous meetings.
That all changed Sunday afternoon as the 'Dogs defeated ETSU, the No. 3 team in the conference standings, 2-1 in double overtime at Washington Light Infantry Field. With just over five minutes left in the second golden-goal, overtime period, freshman
Kessy Bradshaw found sophomore
Hannah Roth at the top of the box. Roth took one touch in a spin move around a defender and sent a shot into the lower right 90 for the finish, giving the Bulldogs a fitting end to the regular season.
