BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Citadel's Douglas Gudenburr won at 141 lbs. and Sawyer Root grabbed a win at 197 to lead the Bulldogs in a 44-6 loss at SoCon foe Campbell on Saturday afternoon at Carter Gym.

Gudenburr scratched first with a 9-3 decision to get the Bulldogs on the board.

The Citadel lost at 149 as Ty Buckiso dropped a tight 6-3 decision to Zach Barnes in his match.

The Bulldogs picked up a 8-6 decision at 197 at Root held off Chris Kober for an 8-6 decision in the Bulldogs' second win.

The Bulldogs return to action at Davidson on Thursday night. The opening match is scheduled for 6 p.m.
