CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel has sold out the Pearson Club Level of Johnson Hagood Stadium for the 2018 season, marking the fourth straight season the club level will be at capacity, it was announced Thursday.
"It is always great to see the continued support from our alumni, boosters and fans," said interim athletic director
Robert Acunto. "To be able to say we have sold out the Pearson Club Level four years in a row is a remarkable accomplishment when you take into consideration it had never happened prior to the 2015 season. I want to thank our loyal and devoted supporters who help make our home stadium environment the best in the Southern Conference, as well as The Citadel Brigadier Foundation and The Citadel Athletic Ticket Office staffs for their hard work to make this happen."
A limited number of season ticket packages are still available. Fans interested in attaining Pearson Club Level seating for the 2019 season are encouraged to join the waiting list by contacting The Citadel Brigadier Foundation. Priority for club seats, if any remain after current renewals, will be based on donor points in the Priority Points System. Fans can increase their standing in the points system by purchasing 2018 season tickets and joining The Citadel Brigadier Foundation (TCBF).
Season ticket holders can save money on single-game prices, receive priority status for FCS Playoff game tickets, and ensure the same seat for all five home games. Fans purchasing season tickets also receive an exclusive Adidas Citadel Football tee shirt with their order (if placed by Monday, July 2). Season ticket holders are also able to purchase additional single-game tickets before the general public.
In addition to tickets for each of the five scheduled home games for the 2018 season, season ticket holders have the ability to order tickets before Tuesday, July 10 for the Bulldogs' Saturday, Nov. 17 game at defending College Football Playoff champions Alabama.
Fans who have already purchased their season tickets, club level credentials, suite packages, and/or parking passes will be able to pick those credentials up on the fifth floor of Johnson Hagood Stadium Thursday, July 26 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday, July 27 from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
The Citadel football team won back-to-back Southern Conference championships in 2015 and 2016, and excitement for the 2018 season is growing every day. From the pre-game march of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets into Johnson Hagood Stadium, to the firing of cannons after each Bulldog score and the collective respect that all spectators demonstrate while the American flag is lowered at the end of each game, The Citadel football gameday atmosphere is one of the most unique and memorable college football experiences in the country.
The Bulldogs begin their 2018 season at Wofford on Saturday, Sept. 1 before opening the home slate with two games at Johnson Hagood Stadium. The Bulldogs will welcome Chattanooga to town on Saturday, Sept. 8 with a 6 p.m. kickoff before hosting Charleston Southern on Saturday, Sept. 15 for the annual Military Appreciation and Hall of Fame game. Following two weeks on the road and a weekend off, the Bulldogs will host ETSU on Saturday, Oct. 13 for Parents' Day. The next home game will be Saturday, Oct. 27 against Furman with the home finale coming on Saturday, Nov. 10 against Samford. The game against Samford will also serve as Homecoming.
