How it Happened
- The Bulldogs fell in three consecutive sets to give Furman their second Southern Conference win of the year. The Bulldogs were held to a .122 hitting percentage by the Paladins and were unable to get their offense firing.
- The Citadel was led by King offensively who tallied 11 kills on 31 attacks, giving her a .226 hitting percentage through three sets. Alicia Roberts was the lone Bulldog to record a solo block while also tallying two block assists. Sarah Dobrich and Megan Fuhr also recorded two blocking assists. Junior libero Caricia Rodriguez tallied 10 digs in the loss, a team high for the Bulldogs.
- "Our effort tonight wasn't where we wanted or needed it to be when you are facing a team like Furman. We will have a week to regroup before we get on the road and will back to the basics of how we were playing at the beginning of the season. We have the chance to make this season historic but that will require us not getting complacent with what we have already done. "
