CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Bulldogs battled through four sets tonight against conference-leader ETSU, but dropped the match, 3-1 in the end.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bucs came out swinging to start the match, not allowing the Bulldogs to put together more than two points in a row through the entire first set and winning, 25-14.
- The second set saw six different lead changes between the Bulldogs and the Bucs with The Citadel pushing towards the finish line and taking the set, 25-23.
- ETSU went on a 9-0 run early in the third set to take a commanding lead, 10-1.
- The Bulldogs continued to fight, but was unable to mount momentum, dropping the set, 25-16.
- The match concluded with ETSU taking the fourth set, 25-12 after putting together a second 9-0 run against the 'Dogs.
BY THE NUMBERS
- The Citadel's frontline posted a .119 hitting percentage to ETSU's .333.
- Freshman Gina Delancey posted five blocks throughout the night, nearly matching her career-high of seven.
- Mellanie King and Maddy Cardenas led the way on offense with 13 and 10 kills, respectively.
