CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel wrestling team will travel to Chattanooga this Friday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m to take on the Mocs. 

The Bulldogs are coming off a loss to No. 25 ranked Southern Conference opponent, Campbell. In the loss, Sawyer Root and Dazjon Casto earned the team three points apiece. Root tallied a victory over Austin McNeil in the 197-pound match with a takedown and an escape to secure a 3-1 decision. Casto finished off Cameron Pine with a last second takedown in the third period to earn his first SoCon victory as a Bulldog.

The Citadel currently sits in fourth place in the SoCon with a record of 1-1 heading into the dual.

Chattanooga is 5-6 overall, and 3-1 in the conference action and are coming off a 21-14 loss to Appalachian State. 

Rian Burris is slated to take on Ryan Resnick whom Burris defeated in late January by a 13-8 decision in the Southern Scuffle. Root will also face off against a familiar face in Rodney Jones, who he has defeated twice so far this season in the Hokie Open (3-2) and Wolfpack Open (3-0)
