QUOTABLES FROM COACH KRIESE
"The team moved forward today even though we lost," said head coach Chuck Kriese. "The Penn team we played this morning is an excellent team and is well-coached, but we managed to push them at just about every position. In the UNC Greensboro match, we had a slow start in doubles, but the singles matches were very competitive. I was especially proud of Willy, Gavin and Phillip in the second match, because they really excelled after the first hour. After that first hour, we were able to pull even with UNCG and the momentum was even. We finished strong and were pulling away at the end. Our team is built for the long run and tough matches. The longer the matches, the better we are. Our fitness showed up big time today. We just have to learn to get over the hump and we are very close."

UP NEXT
The Bulldogs will play their next 14 matches, including three SoCon matches, at home beginning this weekend with four non-conference matches at the Jack Adams Tennis Center. The Citadel will first welcome Methodist for a doubleheader on Saturday, March 9. On Sunday, March 10, Lehigh and Richmond will visit Charleston for a pair of matches.
