CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Bulldogs finished competition at the Gamecock Invitational while taking home a pair of podium finishes.
For the men's javelin, The Citadel took two spots on the podium with 
Charlie Hatler finishing second and 
Evan McDonald taking third. Hatler recorded a mark of 175-10, while McDonald threw a new personal-record toss of 170-3.
Prince Howard-Whitaker was one spot out of the top three, taking fourth in the discus with a mark of 157-5. Howard-Whitaker also recorded a new PR in the hammer throw with a toss of 158-5 to take seventh. 
Ja'Lon Williams placed sixth in the hammer with a mark of 159-2 and also took eighth in the shot put with a throw of 48-10.25. 
TJ Hollis recorded a new personal best in the triple jump with a leap of 43-9.75.
On the track, 
Josiah Johnson clocked a season best in the 100 meter race with a time of 10.44. Johnson would go on to record another season best in the 200 meter race with a final time of 21.44.
For the women, 
Jessy Page threw a distance of 51.37 meters to take fifth place in the hammer while also taking home fifth in the discus with a throw of 40.5 meters. 
Anna Barfield tallied an eighth place finish in the javelin with a mark of 114-5.
Samantha Engel and 
Amber Opp both recorded new personal records while moving up in the all-time program records at The Citadel. Engel earned the No. 2 spot in school history with a vault of 10-10 while Opp ran a PR in the 5k with a time of 18:57.70 to earn the No. 6 spot all time.

The Bulldogs will travel back to Columbia, S.C. on April 20 to compete in the USC Open.
