The Citadel Falls To Samford At Home

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Bulldogs took on the top ranked SoCon team, Samford, Saturday afternoon falling in four sets, 1-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Bulldogs offense put out a .069 overall hitting percentage and 36 kills to Samford's .270 percentage and 54 total kills.
  • After dropping set one, the 'Dogs hunkered down to force extra points to take the second set.
  • The Citadel wasn't without the help of Mellanie King, who put out a double-double with 11 kills and 13 digs.
  • Megan Fuhr aided the offense with a career-high, eight kills.
NEXT UP
The Bulldogs hit the court Wednesday, Oct. at 6 p.m. against UNCG. The Citadel will be on the road for the next four consecutive matches.
