CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel track and field teams will travel to Lexington, Virginia this weekend to take part in the VMI Team Challenge hosted by the Keydets at the Corps Physical Training Facility.

The meet will get underway at 11:30 a.m. with the men's weight throw, men's long jump and women's pole vault.
The field will include the likes of Appalachian State, ETSU, Norfolk State, Ohio, The Citadel, VCU, VMI and Western Carolina, among others.
LAST TIME OUT
The Citadel track and field teams opened the 2020 indoor season Jan. 17-18 at the Gamecock Opener hosted by the University of South Carolina. After a slow start on Friday, the Bulldogs bounced back later in the day and again on Saturday to post some strong marks.
Prince Howard-Whitaker,
Triston McClain and
Jacquary Bradford all recorded personal records, while
Heidi Fortin notched the fifth-best time in program history in the women's 5,000-meter run.
Sam Blumer finished atop the collegiate ranks, and second overall, in the pole vault, and
Joie Royer,
Jessy Page,
Mya Dollard,
Harrison Mansell and
Sam Sharnas all recorded top-10 finishes.
COMING UP
Next weekend, the Bulldogs will travel back to Columbia to take part in the Carolina Challenge, hosted by the University of South Carolina. The meet will begin on Friday, Jan. 31 and conclude on Saturday, Feb. 1.
