CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's soccer teams closes out the fall season Friday afternoon when it welcomes Georgia Southern to the Lowcountry. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. and will be played on Summerall Field.
 
Last Time Out
Logan Dix scored a pair of goals, and Ani Ford delivered the game-winner as the Bulldogs defeated Mercer, 3-2. The win was the first for The Citadel against Mercer in program history. The Bulldogs are 1-0-1 against the Bears this season after dropping the previous seven matches.
 
Dix Climbs Goals List
Logan Dix has scored six goals this season, raising her career total to 21 goals. She is currently tied for fourth on the all-time list with Amy Loughran (2008-11). Six also sits fifth on the all-time scoring list with 48 points.
 
Vs. Georgia Southern
The Bulldogs and Eagles are meeting for the second time season. The teams opened the season in Statesboro with The Citadel winning, 2-1. Logan Dix scored both goals for the Bulldogs in the first half. Goalkeeper Jess Newton collected a pair of saves to earn the victory in her first collegiate game.
 
Scouting Georgia Southern
The Eagles enter the matchup with an overall record of 2-6, and a 2-4 mark in Sun Belt Conference action. GS is coming off a 1-0 victory over App State on Sunday. Marcela Montoya leads the offense with a pair of goals as the Eagles have only scored four goals all season.

The Bulldogs fall season is complete. The Southern Conference is expected to announce the spring schedule in the near future.
