CHARLESTON, SC – The Citadel wrestling team fell to VMI in its final conference dual match of the regular season 20-19, Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs completed the regular season are now 2-5 in the SoCon and 4-6 overall.

The 'Dogs started off strong with a pin fall in 1:20 from Jordie White over John McGarry in the 125 weight class. Jake Rotunda and Selwyn Porter follow with wins at 141 and 149, respectively.

Dazjon Casto at 165 and Michael McAleavey at the heavyweight position were the final two winners for The Citadel during today's match.

The Bulldogs also recognized three seniors: Rian Burris, Martin Duane, and Doug Gudenburr for the impact they have had on the wrestling program throughout their careers.

The Citadel will return to the mats Sunday, March 8 for the SoCon Championships, hosted by App State in Boone, NC.
