SoCon Announces Seeding For Wrestling Championships

SPARTANBURG, SC – The Citadel wrestling team heads to the 2020 Southern Conference Championship Sunday, Mar. 8 at the Holmes Convocation Center on the campus of Appalachian State.
Jake Dado, Selwyn Porter, Douglas Gudenburr, Dazjon Casto, Martin Duane, and Michael McAleavey are all seeded in the top five of their weights and will look to make a deep run in the tournament.
McAleavey is slated with the highest seeding for the Bulldogs at number three. He boasts a 19-16 overall record for the season and goes in to the weekend with five conference wins. Two of those SoCon wins include victories over the No. 4 seed Chris Beck (VMI) and No. 5 seed Grayson Walthall (UTC).
The SoCon was allocated 14 spots for the NCAA Championships, with two each at 149, 174, 184 and 285 pounds.
