- SC took the lead in the third as they loaded the bases with one out. After a popout, Brady Allen delivered a two-run single to left field.
- The Gamecocks added three more runs in the fifth on a RBI double from Jeff Heinrich and a two-run homer from Brennan Milone.
- The seventh run came around to score on a base hit off the bat of Noah Myers.
- Allen added a solo home run in the eighth inning.
