Inside The Numbers

80 - Wide receiver Raleigh Webb caught an 80-yard touchdown pass on the Bulldogs first play from scrimmage against VMI. It was his sixth career receiving touchdown over 70 yards.

188 - Quarterback Jaylan Adams rushed for a career-high 188 yards and a touchdown in the victory over VMI. It was the most rushing yards for a Bulldog signal caller since Brandon Rainey ran for 217 yards against Samford in 2018. The 188 yards ties for the fifth most by a quarterback in program history.

The Game
The Citadel hits the road for the first time in over a month as the Bulldogs travel to face ETSU on Oct. 9. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m.

Saturday's game is the 30th all-time meeting between the two schools. ETSU holds a 16-13 advantage in the all-time series.


Last Trip to Johnson City
The last time the Bulldogs visited Johnson City turned into an instant classic. The Citadel got a 73-yard touchdown pass from Brandon Rainey to Raleigh Webb with just over four minutes remaining. The Bulldog defense then got a stop from Chris Beverly on the one yard line with just over one minute to play to secure the victory.


Adams Returns Home
Quarterback Jaylan Adams is returning home. The quarterback is a native of Johnson City and played his prep ball at Science Hill High School.


Poole Named SoCon Defensive Player of the Week
Defensive back Dominick Poole was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against VMI. Poole finished with five tackles, three pass break-ups and an interception in the end zone.


Bulldogs Go Up Top
The Citadel took the top off on the first play from scrimmage as Jaylan Adams hit Raleigh Webb on an 80-yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage against VMI.


Webb Adds to Big Career
Raleigh Webb added to his big career as he caught an 80-yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage from the Bulldogs against VMI. It was his sixth career touchdown reception over 70 yards, and marked the second-straight game he caught a TD pass over 75 yards.


Adams' Big Day on the Ground
Quarterback Jaylan Adams rushed for a career-high 188 yards against VMI. The total is tied for the fifth most by a quarterback in Bulldog history, tied for the 188 yards Brandon Rainey rushed for against Western Carolina in 2018.

Long Run by QB
Jaylan Adams broke loose for a 68 yard run against VMI. The run is the longest by a quarterback since Jordan Black rushed for a 71-yard touchdown against VMI in 2018.


Billings Returns in Big Way
Logan Billings made his season debut against VMI and rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns. He scored on runs of 14 yards and 40 yards.


Secondary Makes Plays
The Bulldog secondary made plays against VMI as they intercepted a pair of passes and broke up five passes against VMI. Dominick Poole picked off a pass and had a game-high three pass break-ups.


Interceptions in Back-to-Back Games
Defensive back Destin Mack has intercepted a pass in back-to-back games against North Greenville and VMI. He is the first Bulldog since Aron Spann III in 2017 (Chattanooga and VMI) to record interceptions in back-to-back games.
