SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Citadel's
Hayden Brown was named the Southern Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Month for the month of November, it was announced by the league office on Thursday.
Brown took home the monthly honor after averaging 17.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in helping the Bulldogs to a 4-2 start on the season.
In the season-opening victory over Pittsburgh, Brown finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Brown posted his first double-double of the season in a double-overtime game at Presbyterian. He scored 26 points and pulled down 17 rebounds. He followed that up with 16 points and 10 rebounds in only 17 minutes against Carver.
Brown put together one of his best shooting days on the national stage at then-No. 5 Duke. He went 7-for-12 from the field, including 4-of-5 from beyond the arc, to finish with 19 points.
