CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel dropped a 7-0 decision against Southern Conference foe Wofford at the Earle Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon in both the home and SoCon opener for the squad this season.

Match Rundown
  • All three doubles matches were tight decisions, but the Terriers grabbed the early 1-0 lead after sweeping the trio of decisions. Will Graham and Hayden Shoemake nearly extended their match at No. 2, but ultimately fell 6-4 to their conference foes.
  • Zvonko Bencedic and Phillip Quinn each pushed their singles matches to three sets at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Bencedic just narrowly came up short, falling in a third-set tiebreak against Diego Losada despite winning 18 games.
  • Sebastian Kamieniecki also forced a tiebreaker in his decisive second set at No. 6 singles but fell just short in a 6-1, 7-6 decision against Will Fullett.
