Match Rundown
- Sunday's match featured non-traditional scoring in which each of the three doubles matches counted as individual points, rather than just one point in a best-of-three scenario. The Citadel came away with victories at the top two spots by identical 8-4 scorelines to carry a 2-1 edge into singles action.
- The Citadel was dominant in singles play, winning all six matches, including five in straight sets. Josiah Schainblatt dropped only a single game at No. 2, while Phillip Quinn and Sebastian Kamieniecki each lost only three games at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
- Hayden Shoemake enjoyed the toughest test of the afternoon at No. 3. After racing out to a lead by claiming the first set 6-3, Ruben Emmerson-Hiini fought back to even the match with a 6-4 win in the second set. Now facing a decisive third set, Shoemake kept his composure and dispatched his opponent in strong fashion with a 6-1 victory.
