Match Rundown
  • Presbyterian took a 1-0 lead after winning the doubles point with victories at all three positions, but the team of Phillip Quinn and Andrew Darby nearly took their opponents to a tiebreaker at the No. 3 position with a strong showing.
  • In singles play, Sebastian Kamieniecki claimed his first singles victory over a Division I opponent in style, taking down Daniel Martens in three sets. Despite dropping the first set, Kamieniecki rallied with a dominant showing over the final two, dropping only five games the rest of the way en route to the victory.
  • Hayden Shoemake nearly made it two singles victories for the Bulldogs at the No. 3 spot. Like Kamieniecki, Shoemake also fell behind after the opening set before staging a strong rally. The freshman forced a decisive third-set tiebreaker against Teo Cariov but fell just short, dropping the tiebreaker 7-1.
  • Kamieniecki's point for The Citadel was its first against a Division I opponent since taking two points off Samford on March 8, 2020, in last year's pandemic-shortened campaign.
