Inside The Numbers
 0 - The Bulldogs defeated Furman without completing a pass. It was the first time since the Western Carolina game in 2018 that The Citadel won a game without completing a pass.
2 - The Citadel offense has rushed for at least two touchdowns in six of the seven games played during the spring, including three rushing touchdowns against Mercer, ETSU and Wofford.
13 -For the second-straight game, linebacker Anthony Britton Jr. finished with a team-high 13 tackles. He has been in double figures in tackles in three of the last four games. The sophomore has 95 tackles on the season.
39:43 - The Citadel played keep away the entire game as the offense held the ball for 39:43. The Bulldogs held the ball for over eight minutes in all four quarters, including 12:11 in the opening quarter.
286 - The Citadel offense rushed for 286 yards against Furmant on 70 carries. The Bulldogs had four players carry the ball at least 13 times and rush for at least 44 yards.

The Game
The Citadel closes out the season with the Military Classic of the South at VMI on April 17. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.

Saturday's game will be the 76th all-time meeting on the gridiron. The Citadel leads the series 42-31-2.

VMI put an end to a 12-game losing streak with a 34-21 victory during the 2019 season.


Adams Named Player of the Week
Quarterback Jaylan Adams was named the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his effort against Furman.


Scoring in All 3 Phases
The Citadel scored in all three phases in the victory over Furman. The Bulldogs blocked a punt for a touchdown, rushed for a pair of scores and returned an interception for a touchdown. It was the first time they scored in all three phases since Sept. 4, 2010 against Chowan.


Adams Reaches End Zone Twice
Quarterback Jaylan Adams found his way back to the end zone as the sophomore scored a pair of touchdowns against Furman. He scored on a 25-yard run in the first quarter, and on a 43-yard run in the fourth quarter. He has scored seven rushing touchdowns on the season.


Smith Finally Scores
After returning an interception to the two yard line in the fall, Jay Smith finally reached the end zone when he returned an interception 31 yards for a touchdown against Furman.


Hendricks Gets 1st INT
Wilson Hendricks III recorded his first career interception against his hometown team, Furman. The Travelers Rest native set up a touchdown with his fourth-quarter interception.


Bulldogs Block Punt
The Citadel special teams blocked their first punt of the season against Furman. It was the first blocked punt since Sean-Thomas Faulkner blocked two punts against Elon in 2019. It was also the first blocked punt for a touchdown since Dante Smith against Charleston Southern in the 2018 season finale.


Johnson Scores First Career TD
Linebacker Hayden Johnson was in the right place at the right time as he jumped on the blocked punt in the end zone for his first career touchdown.


Second Half Defense
The Bulldog defense shut out Furman in the second half, sparked by a goal line stand on the opening drive of the half. The unit also forced a pair of turnovers, returning the second of two interceptions for a touchdown.


Palmeto State Champs
The Citadel captured the Palmeto State FCS championship with victories over Wofford and Furman in back-to-back weeks. It is the first time The Citadel has knocked off both teams in the same season since 2016.
