LEXINGTON, VA. – The Citadel men's and women's track and field teams will compete at the 2022 Southern Conference Indoor Championships in Lexington, Virginia, at the VMI Corps Physical Training Facility Feb. 26-27.
Day 2 of the championship meet will be broadcasted on ESPN+.

Stephen Kraeling were honored on Feb. 23 by the SoCon with Field Athlete of The Week.
On the Men's Side
- Andrew Smith, Kane Duncan, Aidan Richter, and Sam Sharnas broke the school's all-time record in the distance medley with a time of 10:12.13, breaking the thirty-five-year-old record set in 1988.
- The distance medley team currently holds the top spot in the SoCon.
- At the USC Indoor Open, Stephen Kraeling finished first and set a personal record in the high jump with a leap of 6-08.75.
- Kraeling sits in the third spot in the SoCon leaderboards.
- Sam Blumer cleared 16-03.50 in the pole vault to finish second at his last event. Blumer earned second-place honors at the 2021 SoCon Indoor Championship.
- Prince Howard-Whitaker finished in seventh place at the USC Indoor Open to add to his Top-10 consecutive finishes in his field events.
On the Women's Side
- Carisma Holland finished sixth at the USC Indoor Open in the shot put with a put of 45-02.50. In the shot put, Holland holds the top spot in the SoCon with a toss of 46-08.25 set at Liberty Open.
- Heidi Fortin finished in third in the 3000m run with a time of 10:40.41.
- Mecca Jackson set a personal record at the USC Indoor Open in the 300m dash with a time of 42.45.
- Jay Mitchell competed along with Jackson in the 300m dash, finishing sixth and setting a personal record of 42.84.
