DETROIT – The Citadel's
Dazjon Casto and
Michael McAleavey are set for the 2022 NCAA Wrestling Championships on March 17-19 at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The first session gets underway at noon on Thursday on ESPNU.
The evening session will be carried on ESPN. A live stream for all mats and all sessions is also available.
Casto enters the championship as the No. 22 seed and will face No. 11 Austin O'Connor of North Carolina in the opening round.
Casto is making his first appearance at the NCAA Championships. He qualified for the event in 2020, but the event was cancelled due to the pandemic.
McAleavey enters the championship as the No. 28 seed and takes on No. 5 Wyatt Hendrickson of Air Force in the opening round.
McAleavey is making his second-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. He suffered a pair of close defeats in last year's tournament.
