BOONE, N.C. – The Citadel wrestling team heads to Boone, North Carolina for the 2022 Southern Conference Wrestling Championships on March 5. The prelims get underway at 10 a.m., with the finals starting at 7 p.m.
 
All of the action will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
Championship Brackets
 
Dazjon Casto enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed at 157 pounds. The senior all-conference selection is 6-0 in SoCon matches this season, including a second-period fall over his first round opponent during the regular season.
 
Michael McAleavey, the defending conference champion, enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed at 285 pounds. He is 6-1 in conference matches this year and owns a 4-0 victory over his opening-round opponent.
 
Selwyn Porter is the No. 4 seed at 165 pounds. Earlier this season, Porter recorded a 13-2 major decision victory over his first-round opponent.
