
Bulldogs Ready for 2023 SoCon Indoor Championships

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel men's and women's track and field teams are ready to compete in the 2023 Southern Conference Indoor Championships hosted by VMI on Feb. 25-26.
Day One: Heat Sheets | Live Stats | Schedule
Friday's field events begin with the men's shot put at 1:30 pm, and the track events start with the women's mile at 2:20 pm.
Day Two: ESPN+ (coverage will begin at noon ET)
Saturday's field events begin with the men's triple jump at 10 am, and the track events begin with the finals of the women's mile at 12:10 pm.

On the Women's Side
- Mecca Jackson was honored as the SoCon Track Athlete of the Week after her record-breaking performance at the USC Indoor Open.
- Blythe Hehmeyer was recognized as the SoCon Field Athlete of the Week after breaking her pole vault record with a PR leap of 11-7.75.
- Tatiana Corso has posted multiple top-ten finishes during the indoor season in the weight throw and the shot put. Corso had a PR toss of 40-4.75 in the shot put at the USC Indoor Open.
- Zeniyah Lawrence has posted back-to-back PR times in the 60m (7.86) and the 200m (25.87).
- Heidi Fortin heads into this championship weekend ranked sixth in the 5000m.
On the Men's Side
- Stephen Kraeling was honored as the SoCon Field Athlete of the week by the conference office after performing in the high jump at the USC Indoor Open.
- Kraeling ranks third in the high jump in the SoCon heading into the weekend.
- Sam Sharnas will compete in the 5000m this weekend.
- Kane Duncan holds the sixth spot in the SoCon in the 400m heading into the weekend. His fastest time on the season was 49.46 at the Carolina Challenge.
- Reggie Reynolds heads into the weekend holding the second spot in the weight throw in the SoCon.
