Bulldogs Land Two on CSC Academic All-District Team

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel baseball team had two players earn academic recognition as Travis Lott and Sawyer Reeves were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team on Tuesday.
The 2023 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 7.
Lott, who earned his degree in electrical engineering last week, is hitting a team-best .338 with nine doubles, one triple, four home runs and 27 RBIs. He has drawn 31 walks and been hit by 16 pitches. He has reached safely in 46 of the 47 games this season.
The honor marks the second for Lott as he was also named to the Academic All-District Team in 2021.
Reeves, a biology major, is hitting .315 with 15 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 31 RBIs. He homered in back-to-back games against Western Carolina, including his third leadoff home run of the season.
