Noah Mitchell hit a home run in the top of the seventh in the Bulldogs' season-ending 8-1 loss against the Mercer Bears on Friday afternoon at the 2023 Southern Conference Baseball Championships.

How It Happened
- Mercer got on the board first with a wild pitch that scored Trevor Austin in the bottom of the fourth.
- The Bears added two more in the fourth with a Treyson Hughes single that scored Jackson Cherry and scored on a bases-loaded walk.
- Mercer plated two in the bottom of the sixth with a wild pitch that scored one, and Jozsef Rohrbacher doubled down the right field line that scored Hughes, making 5-0.
- The Bulldogs got on the board in the top of the seventh with a solo home run from Noah Mitchell to left field to make 5-1.
- A sacrifice fly and an RBI double from Mercer in the bottom of the eighth inning added three more runs to the board for the Bears.
